Welcome to Club Cualann

Club Cualann  meets for pre-arranged hikes in the Dublin-Wicklow Mountains every Sunday and organises trips away within Ireland or abroad for Bank Holiday weekends and other holiday periods. The club welcomes new members and prospective members are encouraged to come and try out a walk with the club.  

    Welcome walk February 10

A typical Sunday walk is of 4 to 5 hours duration across untracked mountain terrain. In addition to our regular walks we organise a "Slow & Easy" Welcome Walk every month which is shorter and has less ascent than a regular walk, and is therefore more suitable for beginners.

Essentials for new members

  • Contact the leader in advance.  The leader will be happy either to arrange a lift or to give directions to the meeting point.
  • Consult our New Members page for advice on what to  wear and what you need to bring.
  • Remember the weather on Irish mountains can be severe and extremely changeable and you must dress accordingly.
